Become a PCM Coach

Get even more out of your coaching skills.
Expand your coaching toolbox with the Process Communication Model®.

  • Learn to adapt your behavior to your coachees in real time.
  • Help your coachees understand themselves better.
  • Build genuine, lasting relationships.

Enhance Coaching Processes with the Power of Self-Awareness

As a coach, you’re likely already using personality models to foster self-awareness. With PCM, you can apply these insights to your daily practice. You’ll help your coachees better understand what energizes them and where they tend to get stuck. It will also be easier for you to attune to their emotional needs.

They teach them:

  • To better understand yourself and others and to motivate them in a targeted way.
  • To avoid stress and misunderstandings.
  • To make genuine connections.

After certification:

1.

Are you able to recognize behavioral patterns?

You recognize what lies behind the spoken words and help your coachee identify which patterns are sustainable and which ones consistently lead to negative consequences—especially under pressure.

2.

Coach with Greater Depth and Focus on Goals

You’ll get to the heart of motivation and behavior more quickly, without getting bogged down in analysis. You’ll listen more intently and observe through a new lens, enabling you to choose interventions that align with what’s really going on.

3.

Combine insight with conscious behavior

You help your coachees take responsibility for their own behavior and decisions in everyday life. From insight to decisions that make a difference every day.

4.

You remain aware of your influence during every coaching session

You deliberately manage your own behavior and consciously tailor your communication to your coachee’s preferred style and psychological needs.

Your questions,
our answers

The key difference between the Process Communication Model® (PCM) and DISC is that DISC primarily captures superficially observable behavior—that is, the way a person comes across to others. PCM, on the other hand, goes much deeper: It decodes the underlying personality architecture, individual psychological needs, and predictable patterns of distress.

How deeply you delve into the Process Communication Model® (PCM) depends on your goals. For everyday life, the PCM 1 – Fundamentals Seminar (3 to 4 days) lays the foundation, allowing you to decipher your personality architecture. The PCM 2 – Advanced Seminar (2 to 3 days) builds on this for advanced conflict management. If you’d like to apply PCM professionally, certification as a PCM Coach takes 3 months, while certification as a certified trainer takes 8 months. What makes PCM special, however, is that while the theory is concise, its true impact begins to unfold from the very first day through daily application in the here and now.

PCM makes a clear distinction between productive stress and destructive distress. Your personal profile shows you exactly what your individual and predictable stress patterns are when under pressure.

With this toolkit, you’ll be able to recognize early warning signs right away, in the here and now. You’ll learn to positively meet your basic psychological needs in a timely manner, actively break destructive stress cycles, and remain composed and capable of taking action even in times of crisis.
